The foundation stock here at the farm have been bred or acquired with the main principal elements being their temperaments, genetic soundness and those that are conformationally correct. All the breeding stock here at the farm will be completely tested and certified before any attempt is made to breed them. The farm believes that the testing of these genetic and inheritable diseases are of the utmost importance. As a responsible breeder, we will do all that it can to prevent these crippling diseases from being passed on from one generation to the next and to insure that the Designer Doodle clients are getting a puppy that will grow up strong and healthy and be in the family for years to come. Breeders have a responsibility to the development of the breed that they chose and to insure that they, as breeders, will do what is needed to promote the health and well being of that breed. NO matter what the cost. Breeding isn't only a business for profit........it is a responsibility and reputable breeders will take that responsibility serious.
Not only have all the breeding stock at DaeShar's Designer Doodles passed and cleared all the tests for those disorders that are prevalent in the breed, but..........most of the clearances for the tests go back several generations, to the grandparents and great grandparents.
WE will never use the excuse that a dog isn't old enough for the tests.........which is
often really only an excuse to justify irresponsible breeding practices. It is true that OFA will not certify any dogs Hips until they are at least 2 years old, but .....they do prelims, which means that they can and will clear the dogs hips with a Prelim Certificate......they don't certify until the dog is at least two. Or.....the other avenue to take to test the hips of dog before the age of 2 would be with Pennhip, which will and can test to certify the dog before the age of 2.
OUR PROMISE to our clients is that we will NEVER breed a dog without first testing that dog for the diseases and disorders that are inheritable and genetic.......be it with prelim tests or Pennhip tests or full certifications if the dog is 2 years or older.

Phantom Goldendoodle
The phantom is a unique marking on both the Goldendoodles and the Poodles. The phantom goldendoodles are quite rare in the goldendoodle arena and Designer Doodles will be producing litters of the phantom goldendoodles F1b's starting 2005 when Scribbles completes the rest of her Genetic tests.
